You can use Service Kit 47 for STIHL petrol brushcutters, to carry out simple maintenance work yourself. Proactive, regular standard maintenance measures such as replacing the air and fuel filters and the spark plug, help increase the service life of your brushcutter. This will enable you to protect machine components and parts from dirt and damage and ensure that the engine of your power tool always operates reliably and delivers optimum performance.
STIHL Service Kit 47 for FS 38 (with STIHL 2-MIX engine) and FS 55 (with STIHL 2-MIX engine) includes the following components for standard maintenance tasks:
- Fleece air filter
- Spark plug
- Fuel filter
Note: Service Kit 47 can only be used for models FS 38 and FS 55 with STIHL 2-MIX engine. In order to select the correct service kit, please note that the spark plug installed in your brushcutter must have thread size M10.
The STIHL fleece filter offers good filter quality in a range of operating conditions. Coarse dirt particles are caught on the surface, while fine dirt particles are trapped inside the filter. This reliably protects the engine of your STIHL power tool against the ingress of abrasive dust, helping to maintain performance and keep fuel consumption low and ensuring that you can continue to start your machine without difficulty.
It is also advisable to replace the spark plug regularly in order to maintain performance. This forms the basis for clean combustion in the engine. The fuel filter ensures the fuel is free of foreign particlesbefore it enters the engine. This protects the engine and ensures improved longevity. This component must also be replaced regularly in order to function reliably.
When replacing the air filter and spark plug, it is best to use the practical combination socket tool provided with your STIHL brushcutter. A cardboard hook is integrated into the packaging of the service kit itself, and can be used to conveniently remove and replace the fuel filter. You do not need any additional tools to do this.
